As of 2020 the ballot has moved entirely online having previously been done via filling out a form and sending to a PO Box address found on the Wimbledon website.

Public Ballot for The Championships 2020 Entry into the Wimbledon Public Ballot is comprised of two compulsory phases. All completed ballot applications for the 2022 season must be received by the All England Lawn Tennis Club AELTC by 30th December 2021. The Wimbledon tickets ballot will open on September 1 2019 and will run through till December 31 with fans from the UK and from the rest of the world in chance to apply for these tickets in that period.
